This entry is a bit different than some of the others you may have read on our blog.

I typically write about our little family and our big adventures traveling. But today, I wanted to focus on you.

That’s right, this blog is actually about you.

Consider it more of a conversation rather than the usual small glimpse into our lives in 1,000 words or less.Parenthood and Passports - Where would you go?

So here’s what I want to know… If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? What is that one place you’ve always wanted to visit but haven’t yet? A landmark, a city, a country… Let yourself be free to dream a little.

Money and time are always factors in life, but in our dreams they don’t have to be. So what is the one place that fascinates you?

For my husband, that place is Germany, and we will finally cross it off our list in August. He has even been learning German for a couple of years because he at least wants to attempt to speak the native language while we are there.

For me, that place is Cambodia. I would love to visit Angkor Wat someday, to experience the wonderful culture of this country, and meet some of the beautiful people who call Cambodia home.

So where would you go? And why? I ask for two reasons. One, I genuinely want to know more about you. If you have taken the time to read any of our blog, I sincerely appreciate it.  And two, maybe you will inspire us to visit a place we’ve never considered.

Leave us a comment and let us know what that magical dream destination is for you.

  1. #1 on my list right now is Bhutan. Several years ago I watched a documentary with Michael J. Fox called The Adventures of an Incurable Optimist. For this documentary, he traveled to Bhutan and learned why it is consistently ranked one of the happiest places on the planet (it helps when the government explicitly puts focus on their Gross National Happiness, or GNH!). Hoping to get there sometime soon!

  2. I dream of a trip to Botswana for a safari vacation for our family. But it will have to wait until our children are a bit older. Until then, trips to the zoo!

    1. Haha! Yes, a safari is on our bucket list, too. But we are waiting until our daughter is around 10, so she can appreciate it. She already really likes the zoo and loves animals. Happy travels!
